Players / Umpires / Adjudicators / Coaches / Physio's Wanted

Players
We have 10 spaces remaining to take part in the WRA2010, to take part you need to be male, fit, aged 18 or over and available to be in Peterborough, from the evening of Thursday the 26th of August through to Sunday the 29th of August. You have to be present at the pitch side for the duration of the attempt.

To submit an WRA Player application please email an application form to admin@ne14hockey.com.

To make the attempt possible we need a group of committed individuals willing to Umpire/Adjudicate the World Record Attempt.

Umpires
Umpires can umpire in shifts of up to 4 hours at a time. They do not need to stay at the pitch side except when they are umpiring. You do not need to be available for the duration which means you can umpire as little or as much as you like, but of course we do need to have 2 umpires umpiring at all times. You can be related to someone taking part in the World Record Attempt.

If your a Level 1 or 2 Coach and you would like to have something a little special on your Coaching Resume then do we have an offer for you! We are looking for volunteers to manage/coach the 2 WRA Teams during the attempt. You could be a Coach or a Sports Physio Therapist, any support you can offer the 32 individuals taking part would be very welcome.

NE14HOCKEY 7-a-side Festival

We will be running a 7-a-side Festival alongside the World Record Attempt. We initially intend to run the festival for 24 men's and 24 mixed sides but if enough interest is shown from ladies sides we would be happy to run an event that would cater for 16 men's, 16 mixed and 16 ladies sides.

For more details about the festival format please click here.

Sponsoring Oppourtunities

With this type of event being quite unique and with the amount of time before it takes place there is alot of potential exposure of sponsors willing to support this cause. We intend to promote the event in the local newspapers of those players/umpires taking part as well as the local newspapers and news programmes in Nottingham during the course of 2010 in the build up to August. This will be supported with this dedicated website which will be kept up-to-date with the latest news.
